Are you an experienced graphic designer with a passion for teaching? We are currently seeking a candidate for the position of 2D Graphics Instructor who possesses the following key criteria:
Responsibilities:
– Teach in groups according to the methodology developed at IT STEP, following the educational plans and programs of IT STEP.
– Interact with students: check homework, assign grades, write reviews, and perform similar tasks.
– Prepare and evaluate final projects.
Key Qualifications:
- Practical Experience: Minimum of 2 years of practical work experience as a graphic designer.
- Deep Understanding of 2D Graphics: Proficient in both basic and advanced concepts of 2D graphics, including composition, color theory, perspective, lighting, and drawing techniques.
- Proficiency in Graphic Design Software: Professional mastery of graphic design software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalent tools. Ability to effectively explain and demonstrate the functions of these programs.
- Instructional Skills: Ability to explain various drawing techniques, tool usage, and effects for creating 2D graphics.
- Creative Thinking Development: Capability to inspire students and assist them in developing their creative abilities in graphic design.
- Feedback and Project Assessment: Skill in providing constructive criticism and feedback on student projects to help improve their skills.
- Knowledge of Computer Graphics Basics: Understanding of fundamental computer graphics concepts, including file formats, image resolution, color spaces, and technical aspects of graphic creation.
- Effective Information Delivery: Ability to clearly and systematically explain complex concepts and methods, adapting the approach to different student levels.
- Interactive Teaching: Ability to create interactive lessons, assignments, and projects that motivate students and enhance their understanding of 2D graphics.
- Industry Knowledge Relevance: Understanding of current trends, tools, and industry requirements in 2D graphics to effectively teach students and prepare them for real-world tasks.
Schedule: Will work 4 hours per week as a start (schedule yet to be finalized). Will have more hours once more classes are established.
