**Responsibilities:**

**Bookkeeping Functions**

– Billing, Collections, and Payments Processing
– Record QBO Transactions
– Sending Payment reminders to past due Clients
– Bank/Trust Reconciliation
– Assists in Month-End Closing
– Wire Payments to Suppliers (on behalf of clients – Trust Direction)
– Review of AR and AP Aging
– Expense Monitoring – including credit card expenses and allowances
– Prepare payroll for firm employees
– Other ad hoc tasks related to accounting and financial analysis

**Administrative Functions**

– Productivity Reports for Lawyers
– Responding to emails/calls from clients or potential clients and coordinating internally
– Data Management
– Plan trips and activities for the firm (in coordination with the team and if necessary)
– Research activities (Accounting-related: e.g. KPIs)
– Coordinate with lawyers for different tasks
– Summarize meetings/agenda
– Assist/Create presentations
– Other ad hoc office functions

**Qualifications:**

– Preferably with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, or other related courses
– Preferably had a virtual assistant/bookkeeping experience of at least one year
– Experience with bookkeeping and administrative functions
– Excellent communication skills with good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
– Good interpersonal and decision-making skills.
– Skills and Technical Knowledge Required:
– Proficiency in MS Office & Google Suites
– Accuracy in details and reporting
– Ability to quickly learn new software and applications as needed to conduct accounting tasks

– Document & File Management: OneDrive; Google Drive; 1Password; Notion
– Communications: Zoom; Slack
– Legal Software: Clio
– Other accounting platforms: Stripe, LawPay, Plooto, WagePoint

Work Hours and Schedule:

– 40 hours per week | 8am-5pm Eastern Time, with some flexibility as long as weekly required hours are completed

Work Duration: Contractual – Full Time | Long term

Rate/Salary: CA$1,200/month as starting salary
