Podcast Audio Editor

Mirasee is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Podcast Audio Editor to join their team. As a Podcast Audio Editor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the high-quality production of the podcast episodes.

Responsibilities:
Edit podcast episodes ranging from 20 to 40 minutes in length, ensuring high-quality audio and overall production value.
Conduct thorough audio clean-up, including noise reduction, equalization, and dynamic range compression, to enhance the listening experience.
Edit out any mistakes, pauses, or irrelevant content, while maintaining the natural flow and coherence of the conversation.
Add intros, outros, music, and other relevant audio elements to enhance the overall presentation.
Collaborate with the podcast host and team members to ensure the final product meets the desired creative vision and brand standards.
Meet tight deadlines and deliver edited episodes on schedule.
Maintain an organized system for file management and archiving of podcast episodes.
Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in podcast editing techniques.

Requirements
Proven experience as a podcast audio editor, with a portfolio of past work showcasing your editing skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in audio editing software and tools.
Strong understanding of audio mixing, mastering, and post-production techniques.
Excellent command of English, with exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Detail-oriented mindset with a keen ear for audio quality.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with remote team members.

Availability for at least some North American working hours, including a weekly team meeting on Wednesdays at 2:30 pm Eastern.

Please note that this is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, requiring the ability to edit 6-8 podcast episodes per week. Each episode is 20-40 minutes long and may require an average editing time of 3-7 hours per episode.

Work Hours and Schedule: Full-time role of 40 hours per week. You’ll need to be available for at least some North American working hours, including a weekly team meeting on Wednesdays at 2:30pm Eastern. But other than the meetings and general availability to correspond with team members, you can work flexible hours.

Rate: Fixed rate of $1000 USD monthly
