Job Description:
As a Patient Support Coordinator at Shapely, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction through your exceptional communication and customer service skills. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Patient Support:
-Answering phone calls, responding to inquiries through email, chat, and social media channels for both existing and prospective patients.
-Assisting patients in obtaining prior authorizations for GLP-1 medications, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
-Coordinating care-related tasks, including sending scales to new patients and facilitating the onboarding process for new patients.
-Contributing to a help desk for patients, managing support tickets, and developing and following standard operating procedures for efficient support operations.
- Outbound calls to prospective patients:
-You will help to call interested patients who want to learn more about Shapely.
-You will assist in signing patients up and setting up appointments
-You will need to learn about the intricacies of insurance eligibility, as well as approval of weight loss medications so that you can best educate prospective patients.
Requirements:
-Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or telehealth environment.
-Preference for registered nurse or healthcare professionals with a strong understanding of healthcare. Must have prior healthcare experience.
-Technologically proficient. We will train on you on software including RingCentral and our CRM platform, as well as our EHR.
-Friendly and approachable to patients with exceptional customer service skills.
-Quick learner and able to learn the nuances of our business to be successful in helping patients
-Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, and patient privacy (though training will also be provided on these topics)
-Knowledge of insurance eligibility and verification of benefits
-Exceptional command of English
-Exceptional communication skills and the ability to empathetically assist patients.
-Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
